    This course is not aimed at people that want to stick a certificate on their wall. It is aimed at pilots that wish to brush up on the basics, learn to fly with surgical precision and develop advanced skills whilst training in the harsh environments in Africa to make them better pilots. This course covers everything from the basics to advanced high altitude mountain flying, landing, short field operations associated with "bush flying" and advanced maneuvering. This is a comprehensive course aimed at developing highly competent and disciplined pilots not the "gun ho, wild eyed, macho bush pilot" whose image is synonymous with quick weekend "bush pilot's" course offered by our competitors. Candidates who:

    • complete the course will have their logbook endorsed by the instructor
    • score an aggregate of 70% or more will receive the Bronze Leoair PFAS wings
    • score an aggregate of 80% or more will receive the Silver Leoair PFAS wings
    • score an aggregate of 90% or more will receive the Gold Leoair PFAS wings
    • score an aggregate of 95% or more will receive the Platinum Leoair PFAS wings
    This course consists of 30 hours of briefings, 55 hours of flight simulation and 45 hours of flying including about 5 hours of scenic flying to enjoy the stunning landscapes in which you will be training.

    The PFAS DC can also be combined with one of our many "ndegesafaris"
