You're on final approach in the ubiquitous Cessna 172 and you're sweat rate is higher than your fuel burn. This might be just a C172 but that's where the easy part ends. It's 35º so, with the elevation of 6500' your density altitude is 10300 and rising. You've got your airspeed nailed at 55 knots so your TAS is only 65 knots but then there is a right quartering tailwind which gives you an 80 knot ground speed and a cross wind of 15 gusting 20 knots. Through all of this your instructor is barking at you to maintain a shallow approach, land on the numbers and maintain centerline. You'd rather not think of the last landing right now but you can't get out of your mind how quickly the trees at the end of the runway loom up at you on the take off. The engine might say 160hp but today's density altitude won't allow her to give you more than 93hp at full throttle. Then, just as you clear the trees on upwind your instructor cuts the power and barks "engine failure after take-off!". You quietly concede to yourself that the only other place you might get this caliber of training is in some elite special forces branch of the military, it just doesn't get better!
Leoair's advanced training courses are not for the faint hearted but they are for those who wish to excel in every area of their flying with specific focus on discipline, procedures, technique and skill the courses aim to offer you on the edge experience under the watchful eye of a highly experienced and competent instructor so that you can sharpen yourself and become a safer, better pilot!
